    Hello sam,

2 quick ?s before posting all details for advice pls.
1.am i right in thinking that PPIicon is not suitable if you are self employed. I would suggest yes but first read the small print in your terms and conditionsicon as there could be inclusions/exclusions applicable to your policy.
    2. IF YES TO QUESTION 1. would we have to claim that it was miss sold as they knew the person was self employed....thanks Yes again but you may be required to provide proof of self employment at the point of sale and also to ensure your were not asked about this through a demands and needs questionnaire
I would suggest firstly a Full Subject access requesticon which requires a statutory fee of £10.00 and ask for all the data they hold on you as a data subject. see other threads for more info on this have a read and prepare before posting

The fight could be long and hard so be prepared.

I started in Jan 08 and my fight is still ongoing although I have had positive results.

    Good Luck

    aa

Please do not PM me for advice as it may be sometime before I can respond.

Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.

well it is very hard to say without looking at the policy document...however you could complain , about not being told the policy was optional , or not being offered a monthly insurance cover( as opposed to the single premiun cover you will have) ... welcome will fob you off do not expect them to pay you out ...you will have to wait 8 weeks and then refer the complaint onto the financial Ombudsmanicon service ...they have a 9 month backlog !!...but they WILL make welcome pay back your money ....100% definite....

    a few tips

send your written complaint recorded delivery ! and then wait for an acknowledgement letter ...they have 5 working days from recieving your complaint.
