Hello we owe 5 months c tax now. Can anyone tell me how long it takes for the council to send the account to a baliff for collection? My partner is hoping to pay some of it off towards the end of the month. I did have a direct debit set up for 300 on 1st Jan, but had to cancel it. Awaiting there correspondance which i reckon will be here next week sometime.
Also what is the likelihood of the council accepting reduced payments if he was to send a statement of his current financial position?
I have no work now until Feb. So living on his income alone.
