Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I've just sent off my letter before action to claim back my charges from barclaycard. After two DPA requests i finally got my statements for the last two years (not the six years i requested). To save my time and money trying to get the other four years statements i've estimated the charges from the info i had.In two years i paid £196.00 in illegal charges so i just mutiplyed it by 3 and up with £579.I added a note telling them if they wanted to dispute the amount i was claiming,I would be happy to adjust the amount if they could show me written evidence to prove otherwise.I,ve just won my claim for £1270 from Lloyds tsb so i,ve payed my balance on my barclaycard with it ,so if they get childish and close my card down it will not be a problem.STAND YOUR GROUND, PEOPLE POWER ALWAYS WINS IN THE END.
