hi there,
i have recieved my s a r from barclaycard, and have highlighted my charges, but would appreciate if someone would advise me if i have done this correctly please!
for instance this statement for 20th jan 2005
20 jan late payment charge, 20 jan £24.00
20 jan exceeded limit, 20 jan £24.00
20 jan interest on your standard balance £26.93
i added the late payment and the exceeded limit charges.
in total, my
exceeded limit charges for £24 = 15 times
late payment charges for £24 = 10 times
----------------------------------------------
exceeded limit charges for £12 = 6 times
late payment charges for £12 = 3 times
-------------------------------------------------
should i then add these, and add the interest, and then send off to Barclays?
--------------------------------------------------
also, at the end of the statements it says
chrgoff purch fees 29th march 2007 336.00
chgoff prch unpd fin ch 29 march 450.74
chrgoff prch prin balm 29 march 1425.72

hi there,
try as i might, i just cannot get my brain around the charges( i'm sure i definately have one - somewhere!!)
i think i have to do the following:
so do i go along all of my charges and add them up seperately, and then add up the interest seperately?
as in the sample letter it has a seperate bit for charges, and then one where you put the interest!!
sorry , but want to get it right, and have read and re-read, but still can't grasp it!!
thankyou in advance. xx

Hi Red,
Which spreadsheet are you using.
The Reclaim letter refers to charges and interest separately in case you are claiming interest as shown by the Advanced spreadsheet.
If you are just using the Simple spreadsheet, ignore the reference in the letter to interest. You will simply claim s69, or Statutory, Interest if/when you file your claim at court.

hi slick132,
i am not using any spreadsheet yet, as just trying to sort out how to do it properly!!
i have a list of the bank statements, with the above fees on them, they are more or less the same amount untill they introduced the £12 fee, so i thought if i put on the spreadsheet the date, item charged, amount , 8% int. then thats it???
sorry, not really thick, just not sure!!
thanks so much for your help
