    Default Parking ticket

I parked my car outside my friends house in London. I displayed a visitors permit with the correct date. I didn't have a pen to write down my registration. When I went to get I pen I got a ticket.
The contravention code is 19S "parked in a residents or shared use parking place or zone displaying an invalid permit, an invalid voucher or an invalid pay & display ticket shared use bay"

It was issued by Lambeth Council

    Can I appeal?

If there was a parking bay involved in your ticket, please can you take some pictures of the markings of the bay.
To include clear pictures showing both end markings of the bay, what is written down the outside of the bay, and if possible a full length view of the markings on the outside of the bay. Also pics of the signs on poles on the kerb sides next to the bay, and the estimated distance between these signs on poles. The pictures of the signs should clearly show what is written on them

I am pretty sure that the pcnicon is correct and so are the markings, I was hoping there might be a case for some grace period or for the fact that I did have a visitors permit displayed only that it had didn't have my registration on it.

You are permitted time to get a permit and display it but technically since you had already put it in the car you cannot then claim you needed more time (plus 3 mins obs was given). Unless the bay or signage is incorrect you can try an informal appeal but would not bother wasting the 50% discount on a formal appeal.
