Just a very quick question. I took out mortgage payment protection a year ago now with British Insurance. Since taking the policy I've moved jobs.. I now get more money etc but I wondering if I supposed to tell the insurance company?
As I've moved to a bank, I'm worried if I tell them there going to try and put up my premiums alot.. Even though I'm safe where I am...
Does anyone have any experience of this? Can they do this?
Re: Mortgage Payment Protection - British Insurance
Hello nicks,
Hi All
Just a very quick question. I took out mortgage payment protection a year ago now with British Insurance. Since taking the policy I've moved jobs.. I now get more money etc but I wondering if I supposed to tell the insurance company? ( I would not be concerned about your income if you pay the monthly premium BUT I would check to see if you really need this payment protection on your mortgage as your employer may cover you if you are off work through sickness. I would check up and if you are covered through your employer you may have adequate cover already. I would check up and see what cover you have and then make a decision to either cancel and reclaim your payment protection (If you have a valid case to reclaim)
As I've moved to a bank, I'm worried if I tell them there going to try and put up my premiums alot.. Even though I'm safe where I am...
Does anyone have any experience of this? Can they do this? I have no experience with regard to your case as explained above you will have to decide on your next action.
Thanks
Nick

Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.
