Re: Euro car park-PCN parking on a footpath/footway
From the sound of the reduced payment periods, it very much sounds like a PPC invoice, not a council pcn.
Post a copy on here when you can for confirmation, and if it is then the best action initially would probibly be to ignore it like the first car driver did.

I am sorry guys i wrote PCN, actually its just a PPC. let say if i ignore it can they take any action in future? i mean for sure it was my mistake and car was parked on footway. ya and the PPC is not computer machine print its just a hand made.
Re: Euro car park-PCN parking on a footpath/footway
if it was a footpath then you should not park there surely?
dx
Doesn't change the fact that you can't be 'fined' for it on private land.

• do not pay
• do not contact them
• ignore their letters
• they will give up and go away
• we know of no cases of Euro Car Parks taking their joke invoices to court
What you can do though is get some revenge by emailing Companies House and informing them that Euro Car Parks are breaching the 2007 Companies Act by not displaying their VAT details, registered office or registration number on their website.
If enough people do it, they could land themselves a fine.
Re: Euro car park-PCN parking on a footpath/footway
send such mails to the Compliance dept at companies house - they can and will issue fines for this. everyone should do this with PPC paper that does not comply.

If they were Euro car paks LTD then yes, they would be breaching, but they are Euro car parks without the LTD bit. Just phoned Companies House and this is what they told me. Good idea anything to see them stand to attention...
Re: Euro car park-PCN parking on a footpath/footway
Information that must be on your website
The following is the minimum information that must be on any company's website (from OUT-LAW's guide, The UK's Ecommerce Regulations).
The name, geographic address and email address of the service provider. The name of the organisation with which the customer is contracting must be given. This might differ from the trading name. Any such difference should be explained – e.g. "XYZ.com is the trading name of XYZ Enterprises Limited."
It is not sufficient to include a 'contact us' form without also providing an email address and geographic address somewhere easily accessible on the site. A PO Box is unlikely to suffice as a geographic address; but a registered office address would. If the business is a company, the registered office address must be included.
If a company, the company's registration number should be given and, under the Companies Act, the place of registation should be stated (e.g. "XYZ Enterprises Limited is a company registered in England and Wales with company number 1234567")
If the business is a member of a trade or professional association, membership details, including any registration number, should be provided.
If the business has a VAT number, it should be stated – even if the website is not being used for e-commerce transactions.
Prices on the website must be clear and unambiguous. Also, state whether prices are inclusive of tax and delivery costs.
I can't find any information that excuses non-limited companies?
Re: Euro car park-PCN parking on a footpath/footway
AI agree with AL27. As for the "ltd" what they heck is Co House talking about - there is no such entity as Euro Car Parks without the Ltd - they have merely missed that bit of the signs (just as lots of companies miss the Ltd off when referring to their own name).

I must admit, I own a Ltd company, but when speaking to people on the phone I rarely say the "ltd" at the end. It is on all my letterhead etc though, and any official letter I send or if I was placing a verbal order over the phone I would quote the full official name and address to them.

Its not uncommon practice for this to happen. For example Orange's mobile phone company officially is Orange Personal Communication Services Ltd. Customer Service will answer the phone Welcome to Orange.
I ran a ltd company for 10 years so I became quite familiar with the Comanies Act. The Companies act makes it quite clear that the full name and registered office etc must appear on ALL official documents, signs and has been amended to include websites.
This includes invoices - even invoices representing themselves as park tickets.
Companies house have told me on more than one occasion their aim is compliance first and if the friendly warning issued by them is ignored they can and will take further action to ensure compliance.
