Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
hi there, i bought some goods in March of this year, but they did not get applied to my card until SEPTEMBER this year. can they legally wait this long and still expect me to pay? i dont dispute the purchase, but i find it strange that it took them nearly 9 months to bill me on my account card.. it is what is known in the business as a same day spend, i.e when i opended my account i purchased the goods on the same day.
As you bought the item they have a right to take the money from your account otherwise it is classed as theft.
I believe that the same day spend gives you a chance to spend money until you get your account details through (with a linit of yoru choice), once they sort your business account details they will charge you for the same day spend, The same day spend is meant to make it easier for the customer to buy an item to wait for the account to set up and clear.
