Default Wanna hear something funny (clamping)?

My friend Matt was at a car show on private land - he has got a pristine 205 GTI. Anyway he moved the car to a neighbouring business site whilst he looked for a toilet - when he came back the car was clamped. So, he walked back to the car show and managed to find a pair of bolt cutters (best place to look lol) - walked back over to his car and proceeded to desimate the clamp - got it off his car undamaged. Just as he was driving off the parking company comes round the corner and says that they will get his details from the DVLA and threaten criminal damage costs. He says you do that mate - the number plates are show plates and the DVLA wont have anything for the registration (which is MAGIC). The parking dude says you can't do that it is against the law - he says oh but I can - it's private land. Parking dude then says whats your real reg - my mate Matt says do you really think I'm gonna tell you that. Anyway, parking dude says I suggest for your sake you do and starts getting a bit heavy. Then a few of Matts mates arrive and the stupid little wheel clamper runs away with no clamp and no ticket issued - aww bless him

Actually MAG 1C is a valid registration plate and was issued and last time I saw it it was on a car belonging to Paul Daniels.

Would be funny if he got the ticket and the hassle

I do like to hear stories like this. Especially about the intimidation and the frighteners being reversed. That said it would have been good if your mate could have got the clampers details.

They're not allowed to threaten people.

    However good result all round.
