Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.

When you send the Prelim Letter and lba to BC, you hide the s.69 interest column on your SOC because you can only claim this int't when you file at court.
I've told you about filing at court on your other thread.

However, my biggest charges claim is with Acc.1 where they said they would reply by 28 Nov and still no news?! Would you mind bouncing in there for me when you can, Cheers http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...ard-no1-c.html

Yes, also feel better for doing that! but ugh, oh, I have always added the interest column on my SOC's. Am sure I'd read somewhere that one might as well claim the interest too to start with, they can only deduct it......
I used the little calculator machine off another famous website run by a person who is an avid consumerist himself LOL !

Received phone call today from Barclaycard, could be Acc.1 or 4. She was very pressing, and when I told her I didn't correspond over the phone and was waiting for written replies to my letters, she told me they had the right to phone me every day if they wanted to! As my calls are all recorded, I pleasantly said goodbye
Despite hundreds (literally!) of calls from Mercers, which could or could not be in relation to this account, I have still had no correspondence from BC, I received a letter dated 29 Dec 08 from Mercers being Default notice to pay arrears by 15 Jan 09, which I ignorned.
On 06 Jan, I sent BC an lba plus further SOC (total of which would clear my balance practically) and have still not heard anything
On 23 Jan I received a standard Statement dated 20 Jan saying my acc is seriously overdue and over the credit limit and to please be aware that my card has been withdrawn.
Can/should I make a Formal Complaint to the CEO or maybe phone and record them? The Credit Limit was £300 and the SOC £255

I haven't even done an update on the phone calls. Fortunately, they're all stored on my recorder
