I would be very grateful for any advice on the parking fine letter I have received
I parked at Warrington Bank Quay Train Station in a "short stay" parking space. I bought a ticket and displayed it properly.
There were no normal spaces available so I had to park in a short stay space. Nowhere on the car park (or at least nowhere that I can see, certainly not near the space) does it say what the time limit is for parking in a short stay space. What I do know is that the minimum ticket is for 24 hours and I only parked there for about 4 hours, that I would say that relatively 4 hours is a short stay.
I didn't get a parking fine stuck to my car window and as you can see have received this letter nearly two months after the alleged offence took place. I suppose it is possible that there was a fine stuck to my window and someone else pulled it off, I have seen people do this before at this car park.
My initial questions are.
How have they got my address?
Should I respond to them and ask them what law I have broken and what evidence they have?
Should I just ignore the letter?

Should I just ignore the letter? Yes, unless and until they issue real court papers.

• do not pay
• do not contact them
• ignore their threatening letters
• they will give up and go away
We don't know of NCP doing anything but giving up. They won't do court due to their fraudulent paperwork (notice how it's an exact rip off of a council pcn. They won't want to show that in front of a judge).
Amazing when you think that NCP are one of the bigger players. Just shows that nobody gives a stuff if your company breaks the rules.
