Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hello everyone, I have been a member of this forum for a while now, but have been very busy trying to sort out my debt problems, I now really need to sort out my claim for bank charges, I noticed there are two letters in the SAR templates which one should i send? I also am not sure which Abbey address to send this too, can anyone help.At the moment abbey have passed my account on to a DCA, but i dont want to pay it, until i have cleared up which are charges and which are genuine debt,s.
They pulled my overdraft facility from under my feet and left me in debt they did hit me hard with charges.
Thanks
Sorry Guy's can I just clear something up, I'm not sure about, do I address this to the data protection address? Sorry will start reading up like mad this week!! Have been very busy sorting other debt problems, and have been reading mainly the debt collection stuff.
Hello guys, Quick question do I make the postal order out to Abbey plc?
I cant seem to find the answer to this question anywhere(Although I have a feeling it's here somewhere!!
P.s Hope you have a merry xmas!!
I have written all sorts on cheques: Barclays, Barclaycard, Barclays Bank for instance.
I see at the Abbey site they still call themselves (at the bottom of the page) Abbey National Plc. That would probably do the job, unless someone else has a more definitive answer.
-Any advise I give is based purely on my own experience. It should not be solely relied upon as I am NOT a legal expert and any major decisions you make should not be based on my opinion alone -
HFC Bank - Davey vs HFC
Barclays - Monthly payments made
Cahoot - Agreement received, awaiting 2nd agreement after DCA.
MBNA1&2 - Agreements received. (Currently in limbo)
Halifax - Davey vs Halifax/Cabot
MINT - Davey vs Mint
Amex - Davey vs Amex Cap1 **WON** £1,500 Written Off Davey vs Cap1

See if anyone else has any thoughts on this as well.
Actually no post to speak of anyway is there at this time of year and first class ends up getting there so late! Stamps are going up as well! grrrr
It seems strange though.. every time i put an envelope i have received next to the kettle, the stamps seem to fall off.. and, ermm can sometimes fall right on the envelope i want to then send! This is purely an accident though! And i would never condone reusing stamps or anything like that!!!

They kept the Abbey National name as that is the name registered with companies house but are known as Abbey for trading purposes. There is a building firm with just the name Abbey.

MMMmmm I think my letters may start getting a little too close to the kettle too!!!
