Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
We wish to report an ongoing public health hazard at Tesco Metro Bethnal Green. Some weeks ago we saw that the frozen Turkeys were piled so high in the open-topped chest-type freezer that those at the top were soft to the touch and clearly defrosted (while those lower down were still frozen solid.) We sent a complaint to Tescos via their online Customer Services. They responded by saying that they would inform the Store of the problem. Yesterday we were in Tesco Metro Bethnal Green again, and yet again there were frozen Turkeys piled so high in the open-topped freezer that those at the top were soft to the touch and clearly defrosted. (we notice that other Stores eg. Lidl keep their poultry and meat in chest freezers with lids).
Our probems with defosted poultry goes back to the delivery by Tesco.com (sourced by the Bromley-by-Bow Branch) some months ago of frozen chicken pieces. When we defrosted these they smelt extremely bad and one piece had turned green. It it almost certain that these had defrosted, gone bad and were then refrozen. We had to discard them and informed Tesco online Customer Complaints that this was a serious risk to our health, but they responded by saying that they would check out the problem with the supplier in Eastern Europe. We never heard anything more abouit this, and no compensation or apology was ever offered in spite of the fact that our health was placed at risk.

I find Tesco horrendous, expecially 'customer service' dept. I have taken fresh chicken back to them on several occasions (it ALWAYS goes off before the date) and they couldn't care less - no aplogy, nothing. I tried to collect some photo's the other day (which were late) and again, they couldn't care less - no apology or anything. I know its my own fault, 'cause I still shop in there but I wish their staff were polite or acted like the gave a S***!
Also, the staff in the local Tesco filling station are the rudest people you will ever meet. As if they are doing you a favour to serve you!
Sorry, rant over now - off to Tesco to do some shopping ....
Actually, as a perfect example of the quality of Tesco's customer base, Mrs Hamster came in late last night after a late shift. When she came out to her little Fiesta one of the 'Nice' Customers had whacked of her O/S Door Mirror, breaking the plastic lug's of the back. Needs a new one, it's painted and will be about £120 when its done and that's with me fitting it.
There is no other damage so it's probably someones fat behind that did it.
Bit angry aren't you. I didn't break the mirror.
I work in the motor trade and have done for 18 years so I know exactly what customers can be like, its just in the Tesco near me, the staff can be very rude and act like they dont give a monkies.
I am entitled to my opinion, and you are right on one thing, I don't have to shop there, but I chose to.
So I suppose you forgo your discount and shop elsewhere (considering how you are describing the customer base)?
Angry about the mirror, yes, and rightly so. But it wasn't directed solely at you, Tiaposy.
As for being a customer of Tesco, of course I am, 10% goes a long way.
On a much wider point, I'm also a customer of an awful lot of other retailers and I always try and treat they're staff as I would expect Mrs Hamster to be treated.
Being nice and polite rarely costs anything and a smile can make someones day.
