Sent my first dpa letters out to Natwest and Barclays today and then as coincidence would have it I recieved an Unpaid DD letter from Natwest with a fee of £38 !!
On my high horse, rang them straight away and they were saying the usual i.e. its not the banks fault etc. So then I threw in the old Its an unlawful charge as it costs you less than a penny line and then stated that I had already started to persue them for the rest of the charges from the last six years and I was doing them a favour by giving them the chance to refund this one before I added on the interest.
And would you believe it as a "gesture of goodwill" it was refunded straight away!!!!!!!!!!!
