Barclaycard Balance Transfer Botch Up - How do I get my money back
Hi I'm in desparate need of help.
I got my new Platinum Barclaycard and made 2 Balance Transfer requests. One went through fine but the other didn't. When I called to try to rectify the situation I kept getting nowhere with the helpline (they kept telling me the money would be transfered to the correct account within 7-10 days). After checking the account 7-10 days later nothing had been done and so i rang the customer services again, they told me the same thing, it would be sorted in 7-10 days time. This story repeated itself four or five times before i lost my patience and then asked for the money to be refunded.
When i requested the refund the same timeframe was given for the money to be returned, again nothing happened after 2 reptitions of this scenario. I have lost all patience now and need to put something in writing to get this sorted.
Is there a specific person/place i should send my letter for Balance Transfer cock-ups?
Has anyone else experienced this kind of frustrating dilema?
Re: Barclaycard Balance Transfer Botch Up - How do I get my money back
barclaycard are not very good at responding at the moment; call centre in outer sapce or india somwhere. they do get things sorted in the end but takes time. try asking to speak to a supervisor or email to: customer.services@barclay card.co.uk
Experience has shown that having everything in writing is the best way to go.
Make a brief summary of the problems you have had with BC along with a clear statement of how you want the issue resolved. Tell them you want this sorted within 7 days. Mark the letter URGENT COMPLAINT.
Add that if they fail to resolve this with 14 days, you will make a formal complaint to the fos.
