I am currently disputing a claim that i owe some money to due to overpayments of tax credits. I still waiting to hear back of these.
But upon asking for my Subject access request i notice that i have had to pay back some money regarding a different overpayment claim for a previous year.
Basically tax credits where paid through my employer and this stopped.
On my Subject access request is states Employer paid using wrong Reference. So im thinking my employer paid this aswell as tax credits into bank. This was about 4 years ago. I had no knowledge of this at all until going through the Subject Access Request.
Do i have case to claim this back as i was totally unaware and completely not my fault as the fault is seems to be communication between tac credit office and my employer or a mistake from employer.
