Help! Got pcn tickets...need to know best way forward.
Hi,Help, very worried!Recieved 2 pcn's within a week of each other and can't afford to pay with xmas and being on maternity leave. Need some of your advice but dont want lots of worry about being dragged to court as dont need anymore stress.
The two companies are Parking eye and eurocar parks, these seem to be well known and so are these companies more 'strict' about chasing people?
Euro car parks, pcn placed on my windscreen. The box was ticked...'your vehicle was parked longer than max period allowed'.It was parked over the 1.5hr duration.but son had fallen on an escalator and had a toilet accident so had no choice. They have all details correct except they have car down colour of car grey not green. I wondered whether i should contact them explaining about my son or not,as had him and baby to deal with at the time. Or go to one of the stores i visited and see if they can waive it?
The other was sent in post from Parking eye at an Aldi carpark at night, only car there. (I have never recieved these sort of tickets before, admittedly I have in the past from 'proper traffic wardens' and paid). The parking eye has the date and time down and says they have photographic evidence, also they had contacted DVLA which is how they have my address, name and that i am the registered owner. My husband is also a driver of this car and i do allow others so someone else could have been driving. I have checked the carpark, there is a sign as you enter high up and not lit and cameras are just at entrance/exit, can they tell who is driving?
In total if pay v.soon for both it's a total of £70 if after that it'd be £120!
Is it best to send a letter using one of the templates i have read here saying stuff like I am reg. keeper but does not imply i was driving and no obligation to provide drivers details, that this is not legal, can they prove whoever drove agreed and understood the contract etc...please help, my husband says pay but we really dont need this! I have read so much on here, not sure which is best route...contact or no contact? thanks in advance...so appreciated.Sorry so many questions.
Re: Help! Got pcn tickets...need to know best way forward.
As the other people say, do not give away too many secrets on the forum as you may inadvertly give away too many clues. Put the tickets in a safe place, and from now on do not use these shops, go somewhere else.
Also have a nice Christmas and if these tickets were your only problem, thad av nowt to worry about.
