Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I am currently unemployed (awaiting decision on benefits) and my partner is on maternity leave until January, last week she was taken in to Castle Hill hospital Hull for a radical hysterectomy as a result of cervical cancer where she had to sat for 7 days, I visited everyday and had to pay to cross the Humber Bridge in both directions daily as well as parking (and obviously petrol) at the hospital.
I have been told that I may be able to claim these expenses back but am unsure whether this is true and how I would go about it?
Any advice greatly accepted.
If you are in receipt of benefits you can reclaim that cost of visiting your partner in hospital - you should do this by visiting/contacting the finance department/general office at the hospital. They will need to see proof of benefits.
