Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Sent a SAR - (Subject access request) (request for statements), B***card replied with a couplr of years worth & fobbed me off with the microfiche excuse. I've written back to tell them they have not complied with my SAR, & that i will pursue them for compliance...... Watch this space! Just a question - if one private individual happens to get a ruling overcoming the microfiche twaddle, then surely everyone else can quote the case to their advantage ?
Unfortunately this appears to be standard for Barclaycard but not, interestingly, for Barclays.
The Information Commissioner is the person who would normally take action against them for noncompliance.
The problem with everyone else using one case as an example is the case would have to heard at the High Court in order to set a binding precedent.
BEFORE starting your claim read through the FAQ's and if there's something you aren't sure of then ask.
