sorry if i have posted this in the worng section, i currently have an empire stores catalogue account and stupidly i forgot to make a payment last month, they sent me a letter and phoned me to chase payemnt, at which point i paid the arrears, i have just received my new statement and it shows two charges of £12 each for the phone call and letter, does anyone have a sample letter i can send them to get them to explain their excessive charges and to try and get them back? thanks in advance.
I'd be gunning for them if I were you. If you really want to start the fireworks send them a CCA request and end up paying nowt. You can find a CCA letter in the template section of this site, letter N is what you need.
thanks for the responses, i was thinking about the cca request, but im leaving that in reserve, have sent them a very polite letter asking them to break down how it can cost £30 to make a phone call and send a letter, will keep you guys posted
