The FSA TCF Initiative is, I believe, central to the PPImis-selling issue in that it will form part of a suite of actions taken by the FSA to force firms - including lenders - to treat us their customers in a fair and transparent manner.
The FSA states "Treating customers fairly (TCF) is central to the delivery of our retail regulatory agenda as well as being a key part of our move to more principles-based regulation." (source, FSA website)
The FSA has outlined 6 outcomes which it aims to achieve:

The FSA has asked many firms including lenders to demonstrate processes in place for treating their customers fairly. The deadline for this is 1 December 2008.
