Im starting action against HSBC and wondered where all the step by step instructions for HSBC are located.
When i claimed against Abbey a few years back there were clear instructions which included what to reply to certain letters recieved.
Rather than keep asking questions all the time i want to know if there is such a place for HSBC
I sent a letter to HSBC requesting my statements going back 6 years and all they sent me was letter with a Breakdown of charges over the last 6 years with loads of charges missing - i just want to know how i can get all my statements so i can look through it - in other words the next step in the process
Hi ladjei, If you haven't registered for online banking, this may be a way to get hold of six years worth of statements. Simply go to their website and register. You may have to wait a few days to get the IB code (this is a unique Internet Banking Code) to access your account. Once registered, all you need to do is to view/print off the last 6 years worth of statements.
HSBC usually send you standard letters to letters you have sent. It is incredible rare that you would get anything different. If you are at all unsure whether it is a standard letter or not, just pop back here and we can let you know.
