    Default Paypal

I have recently sold an item on ebay for approx £125. It was paid for by an instant paypalicon transaction. The money was in my pay pal account and so I transferred it to my own bank, all this went through ok. I posted the item the next day with Royal Mail Special Next Day delivery. Two days later it was delivered and signed for.

About two days later I got an email from Pay pal telling me not to post item as address was unconfirmed and account holder was claiming unauthorised use. Too late item had already gone. Pay pal informed me they were investigating things and about a week later informed me that they had favoured the other person and refunded their money and put my acount £125 in the red.

After many emails this is still not sorted.

I can see now that I did send the item to an unconfirmed address, however the sale was marked eligible for seller protection and pay pals terms at paragraph 11.6 do state that provided it is an ebay transaction and the item is sent registered post then you are eligable for seller protection even if sent to an unconfirmed address

I keep getting emails from paypal informing me that unfortunatly on this occasion i have lost out but they will not ofer a comprehensive explanation.

I cant see why I am not covered can anyone advise please??? :~)

Who instigated the payment reversal? the person who made it?

You have proof of delivery so I dont think Pay Pal have any grounds to have done what they have. I think your course of action would be an oficial complaint to Pay Pal followed by legal action to recover the money they have taken from your account.

The paypalicon account holder instigated the enquiry stating that thier account had been used unlawfully. A week later paypal refunded theit money. I have raised a complaint with Pay pal but they are now ignoring all emails don't know how i go about legal action

I had a similar problem and contacted the Police, they have an internet fraud department, an officer called at the postal address and my money was refunded by paypalicon.

it is mine and many peoples experience that paypalicon operate in a completely arbitrary manner answerable to no one.

View PayPalSucks on a google search

Your only recourse in some cases is the police.
    Otherwise stop using Paypal.
