Thread: mis-selling joint policy Firstplus

I have just been lsitening again to the CD received from First plus following my SAR's request. A point I consider to be mis-selling is the fact that in joint loan and PPI situation they should surely cover all points with both parties. They did not ask my husband anything about his employer paying him if out sick etc. or if he has death in service cover, any other insurance. They ask me these questions and my employer provides very good cover. My husbands employer doesn't but the full cover was given to me and the life only to him.

It's a joint loan, only covers myself not my husband and on the questions & answers form they supplied (I did the loan over the telephone) I've stated that my I'm covered by my employment if unable to pay and they "recommended" the policy.

I've just managed to stop them getting repossession - they wouldn't listened to anything we suggested, in court the judge accepted our proposal straight away. The judge also mentioned that PPI policies are more trouble than they are worth as there are so many exceptions you can never use them and it would be best to go for misselling of the policy.
