    Hello woodywhite,

I Took Out A Loan With Yorkshire Bankicon For £20,000 I Was Employed On A Contract Basis And Had A Small Self Employed Job.i Was Made To Take Out Payment Protection To Cover Loan,i Had My Contract Terminated After Running Its Course But Could Not Claim Because I Had A Self Employed Job As Well How Do I Stand Regarding This Agreement.
If the Yorkshire bank were aware you were self employed at the point of sale and did not advise you that self employment would prevent you from making a successful claim then you have a case to claim mis-selling. Additionally if they stated that PPIicon was a pre-condition to the loan agreement then this strengthens your mis-selling arguement.

If you do not have all the relevant paperwork you will need to find it or ask for it by sending a Subject access requesticon to the Bank with a Statutory fee of £10.00. The bank then have 40 days to supply you with all the information you request Consumer Credit Agreement on running account, statements, terms and conditions that applied to the agreement. You can in fact ask for all sorts of data recordings or transcripts of telephone callsicon, data in paper formal, electronic format, CD, Microfische and anything else you can think they may have with regard to your Loan.

Have a look in the stickies at the top of the forum to get the general idea on how reclaiming works there are PPI letter templates etc.

Hope this gets you moving to a successful reclaim.;-)

Please do not PM me for advice as it may be sometime before I can respond.

Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.
