    Default Mortgages

Sorry if wrong place, but can i claim back charges on a mortgageicon that i ended last year? I remortgaged last year and the old mortgageicon company applied excessive charges which were then paid off by and added to new mortgage.
If so how would i go about this? Is it the same process as banks?

    Sue

Yes. I am doing just the same thing, the letters need a little modification but aside from that the process is identical.

SARicon (unless you have all paperwork relating to the charges) preliminary letter, lbaicon then N1 or MCOL.

iGroup (GE Money) - AoS Filed late, defence late, amended defence also late despite extra time requested and granted.
Vanquis - Claim issued, no AoS or Defence received

    Hi Sues 35
Pleae follow links at the base of this post.
"list of banks" will take you to designated threads it will be here you should find your mortagage company and make a 1 and only thread regarding your case.
keep it updated with correspondence and dates as these are essentila for readers to get the full picture.

regarding Mortagages many peopel are asking if they can claim back early cancellation charges, these charges are none refundable due to it being agreed as part of the contract when you signed to borrow and you would of at that time been advised of the amounts to be charged.

please give as much details as possible when using your own thread.

also dont forget to pop into the Bear Garden for alot of off topic fun,
    BL
