Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Heads up wef 23/11/08, Directline,Churchill & Privilege will be charging flat rate canx fees even if within the 14 day cooling off period & even if its a renewal. Ranges from £50, £25+ 1 months premium, pro rata + £25 and £25.
So, if a RBSI customer cancels their policy within the 14 day cooling off period, will the cancellation still be backdated to the inception date, or will it be with effect from the actual date of cancellation? I remember there being some concerns about backdating cancellations on this forum a few months ago: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...ml#post1494024
I can see these high fees being challenged in court soon when enough people get annoyed at it. £25 for within the 14 day period is hardly administrative costs.
