Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Looks like the credit crunch has has hit Triton credit services (RBS)
Poor unfortunate creatures, they sent me a letter demanding that I pay them nearly £500 in unlawful charges! You see, the Natwest have been charging me their 'Christmas jollies' fee every month, the sad thing for them is before they charged me the first time, I emptied my bank account and haven't paid in a penny since!
I did feel a stab of sympathy for them when I opened a letter off Triton (RBS internal monkeys) and the letter head, address and details were all on a photocopied piece of paper. Imagine how scared I was to read that because I won't pay them their unlawful fees, they can now:-
Get an attachment of earnings
My possessions can be seized
I will have to pay more because of court fees
Call at my property to collect their swag
Then it goes on to say 'Please do not underestimate the seriousness of your situation and contact us today. Further delay may significantly impact your credit rating.'
I feel a visit to the cheekiness thread taking over, to refresh my cheekiness before I phone them up, I could do with a laugh

I have been known to photocopy letters like that and borrowing one of the bairns red crayons and scrawling "F**K O*F" across it, then I have been known to place it into an unstamped envelope along with a thick ream of paper, then drop it in the post box.
Hope this helps

Yep I did the same with Natwest when they banged on £180 in charges when my car insurance took the payment 2 days early. Straight away Natwest banged on £38 charge, then another one for going overdrawn due to their charge. They now claim I owe them £180 lol. They have no chance whatsoever of me paying that. Just waiting for a DCA to start hassling me over it.
Bit short of DCA action at the moment, so the next one to try it on will get some serious hassle from me.

It's so reassuring to see that someone who knows their stuff is unalarmed at a letter like that - if I got it, it would scare the pants off me LOL. Makes my meek and mild one from Lowell that has got me all hassled seem so harmless....fuzzybobble feel free to take on my DCA for me
I have read and read millions of threads, all so interesting but double dutch to me; this is really a great site, and you must be helping so many people like me to feel better

You'll soon get the hang of it. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Lots of people on here who will help you out if you get stuck with anything.

I do already lol. That's why I have a nice long list of fuzzybobbled DCA's in my list. I don't charge though. Had a few donations of wine and beer though. hic.
Bit up to my eyes editing a new collection of daft DCA videos at the moment. Trying to get 3 videos and some more daft calls to DCA's done in time for christmas.
