I took out a finance agreement for a new car in March 2007 however as it was a new model it did not arrive until May 2007. The salesman asked me about GAP & PPIicon I declined as I have an ongoing pre existing medical condition so it was pointless and ticked and signed a document declining the products. Prior to handing the keys over the salesman told me to sign two areas marked X's on the bottom of the agreement and said My copy would arrive in the post in a day or so. I never rec'd my copy and contacted the dealer on numerous occasions both via the telelphone and made two visits down to the dealer 1st visit told I'm with a customer I have not forgot will contact you tomorrow 2nd visit told that as it was Sunday he was unable to access his system but once again would deal with it Tuesday (off Monday) At the same time I was having problems with the car juddering clutch and was back and forth to the dealers which I suppoed created a diversion to My missing copy of My Finance agreement. Problems ensued and a new clutchwas fitted which resulted in being unable to select reverse gear without grinding and crunching they took the car back and when it returned when cold in addition to reverse gear was difficult to engage 2nd 3rd gear also. I wrote to the dealer in January stating that I was unhappy with the vehicle and was concerned as to where my finance agreement was No response. Problems with the vehicle continued and I was advised to write to the finance company no reply and then a poor faxed copy of a copy arrived which was illegible in parts as I was unsure what type of agreement I had entered into however what I did discover is despite signing a document refusing PPI I had been charged almost £600 for Pre Payment despite my clear instructions to decline, a long delay and now they are saying that I signed the agreement, remember this is the same agreement I have never seen until now the agreement the salesman marked two X's and asked me to sign clearly ignoring my request thankfully I have and the document. Anyone been down this road or who could offer positive advice incidently the ongoing pre existing medical conditon I have just returned from hospital having undergone invasive surgery I cannot drive for six weeks and will not return to work until Jan/Feb 2009
