Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi I was issued a pcn, contravention "62 - Parked with one ormore wheels on or over a footpath or any part of a road other than a carriageway"
I was parked on the slip road going into my son's school's grounds. Something important had come up with him in school and I rushed over.
Could someone advise me :
1 - If Banet allow you to see pictures of the alleged contravention (I drove off as he was taking the photo).
2 - If what I had done comes under contravention 62 of the parking restrictions.
3 - Can I appeal - do I have any hope?
Are you saying you didn't have wheels on the footway?
If you were not quite fully into the slip road - hanging out slightly to level with the main carriageway footpath - then yes it could be defined as being on the footpath.
May or may not have got a pic - ask for it (but only that or they might take such a request as an actual appeal)
Simply say, 'kindly furnish me with your photo evidence so that i may establish if any contravention took place and formulate my appeal'.
