Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I received a pcn for parking on a single yellow line in a restricted hours. There were roadworks on the line which was broken / worn in several places and didn't end in a T bar at either end. Other cars were parked for the same length on time as mine and can clearly be seen in the photographs the Parking Attendaant took.
I received a PCN and other cars did not. I appealed the PCN on the basis that the line was broken in several places and didn't end in a T bar at either end. This was refused.
I responded stating that I was inclined to accept their verdict but was concerned why I received a ticket and other cars didn't. They stated they would investigate further and responded stating 'Civil Enforcement Officers issue all parking tickets without prejudice and if a vehicle is parked in contravention then they will issue the vehicle with a parking ticket and not isolate one particular vehicle. '
Despite this they issued a ticket with prejudiece. Should take this further or pay the fine?
