    Default PCN invalid?

    Hi
I have received a pcnicon from Haringey council for parking in a loading bay during restricted hours, (Tottenham Road, North London).
I have looked at a lot of other threads with photos and the one thing that is different on mine is that the time stated for the offence is not the same as the photo on the Pnc. Although it is only 2 minutes different would this be grounds for appeal. I am not in this area again till Monday morning so am unable to check any road markings and signs till then
    Cheers Consul

Photo on the pcnicon - can only be a postal one then?

No, proably not invalid on that point unless it was very close to start or end of restriction times.

however, recent haringey postal PCNs seen have flaws.

    need to see it.

    Hi Ting
hope this comes out clear. As for the 2 minutes I don't think I was there that long just pulled over to use a cash machine and if I'm right (will check Monday) I think these loading restrictions start at 8.30 so yes the time was close to start time.

If the restrictions do in fact start at 8:30 surely you can appeal on time accuracy stating you believed you were there prior to 8:30, or is it an offence now to be wearing an inacurate watch!

I have just inlarged the picture on my PC and it does look like I am getting back into the van, so taking into account the time it would take me to use the cash machine and like you say "was my van clock that accurate" I'm wondering weather I parked prior to the restricted time . But as stated can't get back to check the signs till Monday

Crem is correct. All kinds of possibilities on that very tight time issue. I'm just unclear - what time does it say on the image then?
I hear there was some case law on this but I can't recall it - someone on PePiPoo forum posted it a while back. I'm not sure how it might apply to a pcnicon via CCTV.- but that issue of contradictory times may be useful (won one today infact!)
Have you thought of checking the timed receipt from the cash machine as well?

PCN has the expected error/contentious issue but I need to see all of it to confirm. Why only part?

When you go back on Monday get pics of all relevant signage and a wide angle shot, from as high an angle as possible, of the bay in that pic.

ok heres the other 3 pages, sorry.
I will get pics of bay etc Monday and post.
Time on image reads 08.34 and 17secs.
Found a thread on PePiPoo forum Ive sent a message to "Mutt" to ask the outcome of their appeal
As for cash machine I never bother with slip but will try the bank and see if they have a record of the time
Many thanks for your help so far

Oh they never learn do they!

fettered right of appeal. Tick the box? You may actually tick as many as apply in your case - prejudices/misleads you and obstructs your right to appeal.

The point about the 'date of service' mentioned in the pepipoo thread is valid.
They shouldn't make the statement they have without informing you that you may refute it.
