    Default Started the ball rolling...

Well I've taken the plunge. I already had all my statments from A&L and am sending the first letter requesting repayment of my £463 charges - 14/07/06. Should I send this registered post? Just as an aside, I paid off my overdrafticon a few weeks back but noticed that when they had charged me previous interest it had taken me over my limit by £1.25! I didn't expect to be charged for this but looking again today realised I'd had £50 charges for the pleasure!!! I've been on the phone today and managed to get these refunded immediately. Little do they know what's on its way to them next
Also, have notice some people have an ongoing bit at the bottom of their threads saying how things are going. How do you set that up? Or do you need to add it every time?

Question Made small mistake, what next?

Think I've made a small boo but don't know if it will affect anything in the long run. The LBA sent to A&L should have had 21/07 as the date but I left the date on of my first letter which was 14/07.... I still haven't had a reply from them re this letter. Is it 14 working days I wait or 14 calendar days before action? Do I go ahead with the the claim now or do I send another LBA with the correct date? Thanks

I wouldn't worry too much about the date on the letter, just act as if it were dated the 21st and give them 14 days from then. [Not sure whether it's calendar or working, but think it might be calendar.]

You'd be wasting a stamp if you sent another letter. 8-)

They have settled in full!!!!! Arrived home to cheque yesterday evening for £548.48. Will make a donationicon - I'm soooo excited! Have told everyone at work about it and they're all about to get online and get started too. Up until receiving the cheque I was still a little unsure as to whether I would really get it all back but this really does work.
