Thread: Can you claim PPI for Mortgages

Just wondered as most threads I have read have been for loans or credit cards?

am i correct in assuming its for life and/or critical illness cover ,as i am about to embark on the county court route after being fobbed off by the Halifax and let down by the fos!

Unfortunately we went with a broker coz husband was self employed I think it cost us in between £2000 & £3000 they said it will be paid up front and added to the mortgage, he kind of said its best to, we said yes because we thought we would not be able to get the mortgage. When my husband was to ill to work guess what? you got it he could not claim I even had a solicitor to check it out. This was sold to us in 2001. Now I cannot afford the mortgage Kensington has put the pm almost doubled since our fixed rate stopped in May, they are going for repossession, so I want to sell. So do you think I can claim?

i suggest you go to court immediately, don`t bother with the fos!, My claim is similar,it was implied by the banks` own branch advisor that it would make the difference between approval and rejection of the extended mortgage loan and guess what, i was and still am self employed and have since been told by a financial advisor that the product was clearly unsuitable therefore breaking the Banking Code of conduct- Halifax still refused to repay and even stopped the FOS taking my case over a dubiuous time out claim!

I dont know what to do now I mean are there template letters or anything I really dont know where to go from here any suggestions? Off to read some more threads on this.....
