    Default Nuneaton & Bedworth Council

    Hi
My daughter has a debt to council for missing 2 months council tax last year, about £220. There has been a liability order issued. She accepts she owes the debt and is trying to pay it back. Council have passed the debt to Bristow & Sutor for collection who have increased the debt to about £500 (their charges are being challenged)
I loaned my daughter the money to clear the principle debt ie £220. The council are now saying that they cannot accept it and all payments have to go to the bailiffsicon. Surely this is wrong I thought that the council have to accept the money - are they correct

Pay it on line Andy, it's in their account then.

Why they insist that the bailifficon collects is so that you cannot say "the bailifficon did not collect is so I owe him nothing".
