Debts over 6 years old and no repayments
for a recovering alcoholic whose debts are being chased by Cabot and Red Debt Recovery. I am no longer in contact with the debtor , yet the debt collectors contine to pursue him through me despite my protests . No payments have been made on the debts for at least 5 years. Do these people have any legal authority to force me to become involved , and will the debts automatically be removed from my friends credit record after 6 years
