Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
i am new here but an avid member of the mse. i could really do with help and advice as i am not good with letters or legal things, when i write emails to companies complaining or letters i get carried away and tend to get confused and angry. any help with reclaiming PPI insurance from first plus would be gratefully appreciated.
the details are
we took out a secured loan with first plus 30/08/06 and the payment protection was £18367.50 my dh was the person who arranged it, he was told that he would be more succesful if he took the insurance and that in five years time if the above was not used then we would get £15000 back, well we only had the loan for 12 months roughly and decided to get rid of it not knowing that we would have to pay the total amount back. obviously this was a big shock for us and could really do with getting some of it back.
hope the above makes sense and does anyone think we will have a good chance of reclaiming some of it back?
Just adapt the template to suit your needs adding account number, Address etc.
Once you have this you can get to work with a complaint letter as you will have all the figures.
Now Your grounds for mis-selling are you where told that you would stand a better chance of getting the loan if your had the PPI Insurance classic grounds for reclaiming.
You will be fighting to get back the whole of the PPI premium plus contractual interest charged on this policy.
If you need more help just post here and someone will be along.
Re: Really need help and advice for ppi first plus.
Hello nilrs,
welcome to the PPI forum you will get assistance here from folks who have similar problems with PPI Reclaiming.
Most cases differ due to the massive widespread mis-selling issues, but people are winning and claiming back through the Financial Ombudsman Service (fos) or the Courts or in fact some cases are settling directly to the claimant to cut out additional costs as the FOS involvement includes a fee for their involvement of £450.00. The choice of which way to go is yours, but if you go FOS first and your complaint is not upheld by the Ombudsman you still have the option to go for Court action. If you go to Court and lose the FOS will most probably not take up your case.
Plese read through some of these links on mis-selling and let CAG know if you believe you have a case to reclaim.
