Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I first made a data protection request to Egg on the 1st November 2007, and on the 26th Nov I received their reply which contained statements which incidentally showed PPI which I had never asked for. There was no CCA or current T & C’s etc so I wrote to them and pointed out that they had failed to comply with my request, I received no further reply so I wrote again in January 2008 pointing out the errors of their way, by this time they had a DCA chasing me “Credit Solutions”.
I also sent an account in dispute letter to Credit Solutions.
I never heard another thing from them until I received a letter from ARC Europe saying they were acting for Egg and wanted payment; this was the middle of September. This was followed shortly by a letter from Trevor Munn solicitors saying if I did not pay up in 10 days they would proceed with a claim.
I sent ARC a formal notice of Account in Dispute.
On the 23rd October I received a letter from ARC and it contained a credit agreement which I will post up shortly.
I am not sure what to do at this point any help would be appreciated; I will start by having a read around other threads of a similar nature.
