Thread: Welcome Finance - Read this for a laugh !!

Hi Guys

Just thought I would let you know the following: I have submitted a claim with Welcome Finanace for missold PPI - following all the guidelines etc. I have asked them to respond within the applicable timescales. I sent the letter recorded to the local branch and also to the head office ( just to cover my own back ). To date I have had no response in regards to my PPI but my partner has just taken a call for me from them, telling me I can top up my loan if I wanted - Guaranteed !!!
Now while it is very tempting to do this - I am by no means stupid and definitely smell a rat - and also after reading the threads on here concerning Welcome anyway , I plan to go all the way.
Just wanted to let you all know, by the way how successful is it to get PPI back from them ?? Can anyone help ??

Thanks for your reply. I got a reply back in response to my letter. Totally ignored what Ive asked them for and instead they have sent me all my agreements that I have with them. Now I dont know whether I am out of my depth here, I requested that they refund me all PPI as I believed it had been mis-sold, but like I say, they ignored this. How far can this go with Welcome ? Do they ever settle before it would get to court ? I am just a bit frightened by it all tbh but am stubborn and want back what is rightfully mine

this is how i started

first told them wanted missold PPI back - as i looked i noticed they had also added somethin else on to. i had not ticked any of the boxes.

they told me they would stop the ppi but would not refund what had already been applied, thats even the intrest on top.

so i said ok to having it stopped and asked for proof of it in writing

next thing i know, i'm issued a court letter.

going to fight them though.
