Default Watch Out For The Touts

Don't know why but we are being bombarded with offers from companies who offer to reclaim your P.P.I. Now my wife was gullible enough to sign up to one of these companies who promised to sort it all with one call!
Of course what they neglected to mention ( and hid away nicely in the small print) was the fact that they would take 40% of any successful claim plus handling fees etc etc etc.
Be very careful when dealing with any of these companies, it could cost you a lot of money. It almost cost me, and believe me, they are'nt so friendly when you are cancelling their 'services'. Consider yourself warned.

Hi padaxes not all claims management companys are like this but i agree the vast majority are.
What you should do if you haven`t allready is ask for a copy of the terms and conditionsicon. In this it will state the amount you would have to pay if you cancelled. then work out how much you can reclaim back then work out there 40% fee from this. If it is a lot more than the fee to cancel then go ahead and cancel and do the claim yourself.
Another note is you can cancel after 14 days from you signing the documents with no fee.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks Nickk, for this information,

It appears extremely important not to signed anything with these companies, as then they will expect a cancellation fee for doing nothing
