Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
hi there i have had a barclaycard for as far back as i can remember over 10 years. i owe approx 4000 on it and am on a monthly agreed plan for 40pmth which i am struggling with and am more than late with the payments on numerous occasions on my credit file it says 5 payments late. What am i to do i have been having some success with my catalogues and cca requests but i know this is differant being a credit card.any help/advice would be appreciated. also my oh had an Egg card signed up online dont know about enforceable electronic signatures again any help appreciated. oh 1 more note Barclays are still adding interest evry month and late payment fees @12 each .
Claim all of your late payment or default charges as you would with bank charges. If the credit card company cannot provide you with a true signed copy of your Credit Agreement then the debt may be deemed unenforceable.

This site relies on volunteers and contributions. We know that many cannot donate towards the never ending costs to upkeep this fantastic place, but you can still all help.
Simply download the CAG toolbar and use it as often as you possibly can for your Internet Searches. This will cost you nothing at all, but the sponsors will donate small amounts each time to the running of this site.
First thing to do is get your statements and see whats what.
If you havnt got these already SAR.
In the case of Egg do the same-start a thread for that in other institutions.
If there are penalties then you can put the account into dispute.
Even though you have made repayments, you can argue that you were happy to continue with this but were unaware at that time that they had applied these charges unlawfully.
Keep your progress updated and feel free to ask further.
I have changed your thread title so you are ready to start with BC

Getting charges back from BC has been easy of late if you're just claiming the charges. If you are claiming Contractual interest on top, you'll have a long fight on your hands.
Read the Reclaiming Charges guide in Link No1 in my signature below, then come back if you have any queries.
