Default Hello, newbie here PPI advice needed

Hello everyone, I am new to this site so please be gentle!

I have been reading all the info about the PPIicon and how to claim.

My Partner believes he was mis-sold a ppi by HFC in 2001 (the loan ended in 2007.)

He was told that the ppi was necessary to ensure the loan went through. The agreement also has pre-selected boxes.

I have already received all the paperwork from HFC via a S.A.R - (Subject access requesticon) request.

I was wondering if somebody would be able to have a look at the agreement to see what he needs to claim back.

    Many Thanks

Hi Blush, sorry I can't see your agreement clearly even after zooming in, may be my computer(bought it off some bloke called Noah!!!) There are spreadsheets I've heard people mentioning on how to work out interesticon, never used it myself, sure someone will find it for you. I am relatively new so don't have all the answers, but plenty of support going out to you xx

    Hello Blush,

I cannot think for the life of me as to why would they charge you twice for PPIicon to cover your loan.

How much where you monthly payments to them

    Hello hellhasnofury

    Monthly payments - The loan = £274.13 x 84 months

    1st PPIicon = £84.66 x 84 months
    2nd PPI = £15.65 x 84 months

    Hello Blush,

If you go onto the bank template sticky on the main page of the forum, you will find the interesticon calcuation spreadsheet.

If you click on advanced word or excel, dependant with software your computor has on it.

If you need help just shout.

Can you tell us when the loan was taken out please.

I would work out the figure at the contractual rate of 22.9% and ask for this first and then go for the 8%.
