Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have got my six years of statements from Barclays and identified the charges and am ready to calculate how much they owe me.
When I've done with them I am going to take on Nationwide.
A bit of background on myself: I am married with three children and did have problems with debt due to credit cards. I am now turning this around with the help of PayPlan. I left Barclays and moved my account to Nationwide who to date won't give me a cheque book or debit card and interestingly don't write to me when they levy a charge.
Start a new thread in the Barclays forum and keep it up to date with your progress and any questions you have. Start another in Nationwaide when you start on them. Good luck!

I have recieved around 100 bank charges since christmas 2005 due to bounced cheques and standing orders not being paid. Each one used to be £30 but it has just gone up to £35
I am just in the process of starting to accertain how much i have overpaid in charges by writing to them, so i will keep posted on all things that happen. Hopefully i will get a result like some of the others.
Start off by reading the FAQs and making sure that you understand what you are about to start. If necessary, sort out a parachute account and start using it for your normal banking transactions. Read up on the template letters and then read some threads in the forum for your bank to see how others are getting on and how many have won. Take your time to study all of this to get the best benefit from all the hard work and experience in this site.
