    Default BT Broadband

I only have 8 months left on my current contract with BT, At my old address when i first signed up BT advised that i would have a connection upto 8mb, Once it was installed i checked with BT's speed checker and various other ones online and i had an average of 7.5mb which wasnt too bad, I then subscribed to BT vision. I have since moved and BT advised the same thing, upto 8mb. After running speed checks through the BT checker and the ones found on the internet i now only get 1.5mb, This now makes my BT vision useless as you need a min of 2mb.. Is there anyway to cancell this account?

    Cheers

Pretty sure that they have that lot covered with the contracts being "up to 8 meg" BT Broadband and the BT Vision is "subject to availability"

Even though you cannot get the "on demand" content, you should still be able to recieve the freeview and setanta sports as they come thrugh your aerial. There is no minimum term on the TV packages so if you've signed up to the sports or kids package (or whatever) you can cancel this at any time.

I only took the broadband to receive the bt vision package as it came with free sky sports. If i wanted just freeview i would have purchased a cheap receiver.

Surely there is something that could be done as the line speed does not meet the min req for vision to run?
