Thread: Welcome finance & PPI Claim

Just wanted to check a few things before starting my PPI claim with Welcome. My husband & I had a car & personal loan with welcome. I believe PPI was added and there was no opt out on both, however we cannot find the agreements to confirm this. The car loan was taken out in January 2001 and was paid January 2006, and the personal loan was taken out March 2002 and was paid March 2006. Just checking if I can request the agreements on these two loans, I know there is a 6 year timeframe in which the request can be made is it six years from when the loan was taken out or 6 years from when it was paid as I need to send welcome a request for the original agreements.

Thanks for that & will keep you updated on what happens, would it be worth sending them a SAR as well just to check if any fees have been added to the account and if that is the case do I just need to SAR them once for both accounts?

in your SAR template, include these extra pieces of info

Full copies or transcripts of any correspondence in postal, email or any other format which you have entered into with any individual, organization or third party which contains my personal or financial, or which pertains to me, including correspondence to the underwriter of any insurance policies and details of the relevant Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) payable on any single premium policies. Please ensure this includes how much tax was payable, who payment was made to and the date of this payment.

thanks for that, i have typed the letters for the agreement request and the SAR on both accounts I have added the text which you asked to be included I will post them first thing monday morning. Hopefully I should have the agreements within 2 weeks and the SAR within several weeks if welcome play ball. I will keep you all informed.
