Default A Ticket out of thin air

    Hi guys,

Really cool site you going on here Need some of the guru magic which i've seen in some very insighting posts,

I was wondering if you could help me out with a slight problem,

I've received a letter today from some solicitor by the name of Trethowans, on the behalf of CP Plus Car parking managment. They have been instructed to collect a payment of £50 from me due allegedly being parked in a Car park managed by CP plus. Location, woking to be exect a south west trains station in woking.

Date of incident date is 16/09/08, Today date 17/10/08 That's one whole month gone, Reading on it states that my vehicle was observed parked by car parking attendant. According to them, I did not adhere to the parking regs as detailed on the notice board, what? did i forget to pay for the pay and display. The letter also follow's on to say ''As a result, a Charge Notice was issued which remains unpaid''.

Ok let's make a little list.

    1. I Never received a ticket or found one on the window

    and last but not least
    2. I never park there in the first place , infact I've never! ever! set foot on woking before.

So how in the hell did they cook this one up?

Any help would really be appreciated

    Welcome to the forums.

Sounds to me that they've got your vrm mixed up with somebody else's. They've got a digit or a number wrong. They've then gone to the DVLA with the details and got your address. The other alternative is that your VRM has been cloned.

What you can do is write and inform them of that fact. Alternately you can just ignore it. Probably best to ignore it.

write to them, a feeble weak and whining letter that has few spelling and grammar mistakes in it, says nothing at all about the event in question and tell them that you will defend it in court if you have to as their "charges are too high". then hope they do take out real court papers as you would have great fun on the day. or just ignore them - your choice. report to the police though as you may have been cloned. Give the police a copy of the threthowans letter as strong evidence that you have been cloned.
