HI everyone, Im new to all this and wondering if i can get some help from someone. I have been reading through all your messages and you have inspired me to try and get my money back. In the past 2 years Lloyds have taken £650 from me in bank charges, 1 month they took £175 for been overdrawn. I know my £650 is nothing compared to all the thousands they have taken from all you. Well im a mum now and out of work at the minute so every penny counts to me, especially when they have taken these charges and its left me with no money at all for weeks. Makes me so angry. After reading once again through the FAQ`s and step by step guide i figured i have to put all my charges on to the spreadsheet from the libary, when i tried opening this program it wouldnt work can anyone help??? Once i have entered all my data do i then send it off with the Preliminary approach for repayment letter????
Hope someone can help and Good Luck to all you who are currently reclaiming your charges.
I think the first step would be to understand the information given in the FAQ as it is pretty much most of what you need to know. If you already know what charges you have added to your account, your first step would be to send off the letter asking for the return of the charges. The schedule of charges is helpful to the banks and you to know what you are asking for.
£650 is a LOT of money to most of us so don't be thinking it's only a small amount compared to others as there are many claiming a lot less , me included .
Also yes you do send it with your prelim , but don't include the 8% interests in it until you submit a claim into court.
We will get back to you over the spreadsheet

I have gone back through all my statements and added it all up so im ready to go.

PS just a quick question i have charges on my account for unpaid direct debits and standing orders can i claim them back too or is it just for going over your overdraft etc.
Yes you can claim all the unlawful charges back , you can't claim for such charges as a monthly payment for that particular account .If you are unsure if you can claim something post the exact name of the charge in here and we will advise you.
