Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I've been looking through my paperwork this evening, and was looking over my Egg files (letters 'n' stuff). Anyway, I came across my original default, which I thought was valid, but now I'm not too sure.
It looks similar to others on the boards here, but the dates just jumped out at me. My understanding is that when you are sent a default, the lender has to give you a minimum of 14 days to rectify the default - is this correct?
The dates on mine are:
Sent on 16th March 2005 - Actioned required by the notice is 26th March 2005.
That's only ten days
Please tell me I can get my hopes up and get it removed from my credit file (it's the only one on there that's not in dispute...yet )
