My Bank Keeps Taking Money From My Acount For No Reason
About 1 1/2 months ago I logged in to my online banking to check my bank statement and found that my bank had taken £140 in charges from my account for no reason at all and had refused to pay some of my bills. There was more than enough money in my account to pay these bill and no reason for the charges. I phoned up my bank to complain but they were very un helpful and did not want to know. I have also written two letters of complaint and have had no response. Today I checked my back account and they had done the same thing again. Today they have taken £114 in charges from my bank account and have refused to pay 3 bills even though there was more than enough money in my account to pay these bills. I have evidnce of this as My bank account statements quite clearly show both times that there was more than enough money to pay these bill. I am getting really fed up with this and don't know what to do. its alot of money they have taken and I really need it Also it has caused a lot of inconvinence as I have ended up in trouble with many companys due to the bank not paying my bills. Surely what they are doing is stealing. What should I do to get my money back. Should I file a claim the same as if I was claiming bank fees back. And also if I do file a claim will it end up being put on hold until the out come of next test case. surely they couldn't put it on hold due to the circumstances could they as they basically just stole the money from my account. any help or advice would be much appreciated.

I have recenly moved house and have not had time to change my bank. I am registered at the branch where I used to live which is over 400 miles away. So I can't really go to my bank with out driving 7 hours each way. So can't really go to my bank. I went to a local branch near where I live now and they told me they could not help me and that I needed to go to the branch where I am registerd and where I first set up bank account.

If everything you have said is true to the word (and I believe it is), then you have every right to go into your bank and demand the money be put back in your account STRAIGHT AWAY or you will call the police. This is theft. They may brush it off as a mistake but must return your money.
It may be a little harsh but that is your right.
