Hi, I'm new to all this so i'm a bit lost because there is a lot of information on this website. I received a "parking charge notice" on the 8th of Otober 2008 stating that I was parked in a car park on the 29/09 for 264 mins from 12h58 until 17h22. However, I entered the car park at 12h58 but left within 30 mins and then went back to the car park at 17h00 and left 17h22. It clearly states when you enter the car park that I'm only allowed to stay in the car park for two hours for free and not return within an hour. So even if i stayed for two hours, it would have been 14h58 and then an hour 15h58 so me coming back at 17h00 is legal.
They have asked me to pay £60 within 14 days otherwise £100. I am not sure how to prove that I left and came back later in the afternoon. I need to appeal. Anyone has any arguments I could use in my appeal? And because their information is wrong, is it illegal? Could I obtain any money from their because of the disturbance they have caused me?
Any advice appreciated. Thanxs
do not bother to appeal - the appeal is just a way for the PPC to identify victims who may pay up. read the stickies here. do not contact the PPC and do not pay. just keep all their rubbish letters in the drawer and live your life.
